A Family in Our Community Needs Us!
At the Casey Caudill Foundation, we believe no family should fight alone, and right now, one incredibly strong mama in our community is facing more than any one person should have to carry.
She is currently undergoing cancer treatment. While her chemotherapy wrapped up at the end of January, she must continue immunotherapy for at least another year. The treatments leave her battling severe headaches, neuropathy, and ongoing lung complications, even a simple cold has recently caused additional setbacks.
As if fighting cancer wasn’t enough, the new year brought reset deductibles, new copays, and out-of-pocket medical expenses. She was laid off a few months ago and is trying to navigate treatment, childcare for her 5 little ones, and finding work that can realistically accommodate her medical needs, all without FMLA eligibility. Her husband is doing everything he can, and together they are fighting to stay afloat.
The most inspiring part of this, is despite it all, she is still trying.
She is selling frozen cookie dough and baked goods when her health allows. She offers graphic design, marketing, and social media services to bring in income where she can. She continues to show up for her children with strength and gratitude, even after spending much of the holiday season sick in bed.
Their greatest need right now is help with basic household bills and essentials.
So, we have asked her to create an Amazon Wish List to help support her family with immediate needs.
