Spirit Gum Theatre Company presents "Born With Teeth," a two-person play in the new Pirolo, Joyce Center.

CVNC critic Lynn Felder reviews this drama about Christopher "Kit" Marlowe and William Shakespeare, praising its exploration of rivalry, ambition, desire, artistry, and political tension. “It’s a wonderful show, and although the language is not strictly Elizabethan, the openhearted romanticism of it is perfectly Shakespearean.”

“Born With Teeth” is being performed at the new home of the Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, located at 4015 Brownsboro Rd (pictured).
There is a parking lot adjoining the building and street parking is also available along Brownsboro Rd. The adjoining businesses have asked that we do NOT park in their lots.
Street and lot parking at this location is all free!

Sally Meehan (Director) has been directing and performing with local theatre companies for 25 years. Directing credits include Beyond Therapy for Camel City Playhouse, Stay for Dinner for SGTC (Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival) and numerous youth productions in local schools. As a performer she has worked with SGTC, The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, Camel City Playhouse and Carolina Ensemble Theatre. Love always to her amazing kids, Riley and June! She/Her.

Bonnie Strong (Stage Manager) Bonnie's last stage management gig was an off-Broadway show set in the American Southwest — pe**te, wolves, and all — on a gritty 42nd Street still lined with peep shows as Disney moved in to transform Times Square. She toured the U.S. for three years as company manager with The Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables, followed by a five-year sojourn in London where she had a baby and began a career as an online content strategist. Twenty-five years on, she stumbled backstage again — grateful to knock off the rust with such a talented company. She/Her.

She has designed costumes for many Spirit Gum shows over the years, including Witch, Clown Bar, The Drowning Girls, The Unfortunates, Five Times in One Night, and macbitches. She/Her.
