A Prayer for the Day of Reflection
God who knows us all too well,
God who loves us all the more:
we have glorified violence.
May we ritualise peace.
As we gather together,
may we find in shared words
and shared silence
a confession for our part
in others’ pain;
a common voice
for our own lament;
and courage
to commit ourselves again
to the wellbeing of our neighbour.
Amen.
