Winston-Salem Symphony Chorus

Winston-Salem Symphony Chorus The Symphony Chorus is an auditioned symphonic chorus made up of the most dedicated and talented choristers from the Triad region.

They rehearse weekly and perform regularly with the Winston-Salem Symphony. The Symphony Chorus is the premier choral organization in with the Winston-Salem Symphony. The Chorus performs annually with the Symphony in large symphonic choral works, and they perform stand-alone concerts and collaborate with local choral organizations including the North Carolina School of the Arts, Winston-Salem Sate

University, and Wake Forest University. The Symphony Chorus is under the direction of Dr. Christopher Gilliam.

Coming on May 30 and 31, the Winston-Salem Symphony will perform Dan's Since Dawn (A Tone Poem for narrator, chorus and orchestra based on Maya Angelou's On the Pulse of Morning), as part of their concerts at Reynolds Memorial Auditorium, 301 N Hawthorne Rd in Winston-Salem, NC. The piece was inspired by Angelou’s On the Pulse of Morning, which she delivered at the inauguration of President Bill Clinton in 1993.
