Purpose:
To establish an official nursing organization in the Triad area designed for Filipino nurses to support both their personal and professional growth, as well as to promote acculturation of the Filipino American nurses and their families. Background:
The North Carolina Triad area (Winston Salem, High Point, and Greensboro) has many multidisciplinary Filipino and Filipino-American nurses wor

king in various healthcare facilities. Currently, there is a lack of official organization and representation of our unique community. We aim to create an organization inclusive to all the Filipino and Filipino-American nurses in the Triad Area to be represented as one, as well as to advocate for everyone when issues and concerns arise. Furthermore, we strive to build a safe environment where we can develop community programs and activities that will meet the unique needs of Filipino and Filipino-American nurses to ensure professional success nationwide while preserving one's identity in a very diverse society. Credentials
To become a member of this organization, one must be a Registered Nurse, and either have a LPN, ADN, or BSN.
