🐏 1,120 first-time freshmen.
🐏 A 3.4 average GPA for our incoming freshman class.
🐏 Graduate enrollment at a 10-year high.
🐏 A new B.S. in Public Health, with an MPH in Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Management on the horizon.

Ramily, we’re heading back to Baltimore for the 2027 CIAA Basketball Tournament, February 22–27! 🐏❤🏀

We are excited to announce the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor as WSSU’s official host hotel. Reserve your room through the WSSU alumni room block to stay close to the action and connect with fellow Rams throughout the week.

Please note that the WSSU Room Block is limited. Institutional Room Blocks are allocated by the CIAA Basketball Tournament Housing Bureau. Once the rooms are Sold Out, WSSU will need to submit a request for additional rooms from the CIAA. WSSU has no control over adding rooms until approved by the CIAA Basketball Tournament Housing Bureau.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
A deposit equal to one night’s room and tax is required to guarantee each reservation. This deposit will be charged by the hotel as early as February 1, 2027. The Hotel requires cancellations be made 72 hours prior to the check-in date to avoid forfeiting the deposit of one night’s room and tax.

The 2027 CIAA Basketball Tournament housing bureau, ConferenceDirect, will charge a $50 cancellation fee for room cancellations made from February 26, 2026 through December 31, 2026. Beginning January 1, 2027, a $200 cancellation fee will be charged for all room cancellations. Should you cancel, this charge will appear on your credit card statement as “CONFDIRECT*CIAA2027". Cancellations made directly with the hotel will also incur this fee.
The deadline for booking is January 4, 2027
