True imagination, ingenuity, vision and hard work creates masterpieces.

La fábrica originated out of a vision Ricardo Bofill had for an old 1970s cement factory. In the course of 45 years, the old building was completely transformed into one of the most unique and modern homes around. Located just outside of Barcelona the old factory once served as a World War I-era re...

A year ago today we held the first brainstorming meeting for our next, interactive, public art project at Center for Design Innovation. Over 50 artists, engineers, designers, educators, entrepreneurs, community leaders, activists, innovators, musicians, filmmakers, and all around good people joined in for that first meeting.
***Beyond Imagination***
was launched into the world nine months later; thanks in large part to the enormous talent, energy, time and tenacity dedicated by the 15 people on the Dream/Design/Build Team (listed below in the film credits).
Hundreds of people flooded into the 60 x 60 x 60 foot CUBE at Center for Design Innovation on September 22 and 24 to become part of Beyond Imagination.
The centerpiece of the installation was an original 20-minute film that was projected 4 stories high inside the CUBE. You can watch the film on YouTube (*note, the music starts at 23 seconds), here:

There is a Providence that brought us here and gave us to each other at this time. In and through us, a greater tapestry to creativity is being woven. . . . The great traditions tell us that community somehow already exists. When we come together in compassion and generosity, this hidden belonging begins to come alive between us. . . . Perhaps community is a constellation. Each one of us is a different light in the emerging collective brightness. A constellation of light has greater power of illumination than any single light would have on its own. Together we increase brightness.

Where do ideas and imagination come from? 12-year-old Alma Deutscher, doesn't know, but says it's the most natural thing in the world for her to be walking around "having melodies popping into my head"

Alma Deutscher is a 12-year-old British musical virtuoso, not just on piano and violin, but as a composer too. Alma tells Scott Pelley that it's normal for her to walk around "having melodies popping into my head"

We're celebrating this innovative solution to a global environmental problem today - Instead of cutting down trees to make paper plates and using non-biodegradable styrofoam cups, how about these totally degradable cups and plates made from Pineapples crowns?!
