The Women's & Girls' Project of Winston-Salem The Women's & Girls' Project of Winston-Salem strives for personal, economic, and civic empowerment of women and girls in urban neighborhoods.

The Women’s & Girls’ Project of Winston-Salem is a new initiative that began with two Winston-Salem natives-Black women that have had the opportunity to work with black women and girls in the community sector over the course of several years. Witnessing the array of challenges that Black women and girls face, the two decided to reach out others to create a project designed to bring black women a

nd girls together to take a look at what they desire for themselves in three areas:

Health & Well-Being
Personal Development
Leadership & Civic Involvement

The project is designed to provide healing, empowerment, and knowledge. It takes a collective approach to looking at challenges as a starting point for personal and collective
healing.
