Whew, it was hot out there today, but we had another successful neighborhood cleanup! We were able to pick up a bunch of trash and properly dispose of one discarded syringe. Big, big thank yous to our lovely group of volunteers who came out to help!!

Welcome our newest team member, Bryn!! She has been a volunteer for some years and now has joined us as our Community Resource Navigator!

She provides a stigma-free space focused on keeping community members safe, healthy, and supported. By helping people navigate complex health and social systems, she coordinates smooth connections to trusted partners for essential services. Her ultimate goal is to ensure community members get the right assistance entirely on their own terms.

This picture of Rachel really encompasses how thankful and overjoyed we are with all the love we received yesterday!!! What a beautiful pride!!! Thank you so much to every single person who came by, chatted with us, and took some naloxone home!! To those who donated and got some merch, thank you for supporting us in getting closer to our goal to fix up our new space. We are so excited to be able to cultivate a space where folks can feel at home, safe, and supported.

Our fourth public syringe disposal box is installed and ready to use at Green Tree Peer Center!

Properly disposing of your medical waste shouldn't be difficult or cost you money. With our public disposal boxes there are no fees and no hassle. Just walk or drive up and easily dispose of your used or unused syringes, epi pens, and other medical waste.

Happy Spring 🌷 Join us on May 23rd between 3-5pm for our next neighborhood cleanup! As always, there will be light snacks and refreshments provided, and a pizza party after we are done 🍕 If you plan to attend we ask that you fill out the neighborhood cleanup volunteer form, which can be found under the volunteer section of our Linktree (link in bio).
