IFB Solutions, formerly Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind, provides opportunities for persons who are blind or visually impaired in need of training, employment and services. We believe that all persons who are blind or visually impaired have the right to succeed in every area of life.

Golf meets a great cause. One week from today, the 10th annual IFB Solutions golf tournament will commence at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. Vendors, customers, sponsors and friends will come together to help support jobs, training and career paths for people who are blind. This fundraiser would not be possible without the support of its key tournament sponsor, Massif.

For 18 years, Massif has been a trusted partner in advancing IFB’s mission. IFB and Massif have worked closely together to enhance the performance of several garments to meet the rigorous demands of military use. Massif has also served as a mentor, helping IFB expand its technical capabilities.

“Celebrating 10 years of this tournament alongside IFB’s 90th anniversary is an honor. Supporting programs that train and employ people who are blind shows how partnerships can profoundly change lives,” shared Massif leadership.

In 1936, a small group of determined community leaders gathered in a church basement in Winston-Salem, NC, with a simple but powerful idea: people who are blind deserve the chance to work, contribute and build independent lives.

Ninety years later, that group, now known as IFB Solutions, has grown into the largest employers of people who are blind in the United States.
