The dynamic duo, Vivian Pérez Chandler and Dr. Andrea Gómez Cervantes, are incredibly valuable team members at Una Bendición. In 2025, they began to address the lack of power of attorney document services in the immigrant and Latine community by bringing together multiple nonprofits, volunteers, and public servants to create a collaborative, trusting coalition that fills that gap. Through their efforts, they have reached 75 families so far. When together, this team makes a significant impact, even while balancing their own, busy lives.

The Fundraising Committee of Pivot Ministry plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission to equip women for stable employment and brighter futures. This dedicated group of volunteers—led by board member Sallye Liner—contributed more than 650 hours in 2025, developing fundraising strategies, engaging community partners, and leading campaigns that generated critical resources for Pivot’s programs. Their efforts ensure that women can participate in classes, mentoring, and alumni support at no cost. Through their leadership and commitment, the committee helps create lasting opportunities for women, families, and employers across Forsyth County.

Weisz is a founding member of the community garden at Parkway Presbyterian Church, and spends many hours helping maintain it through the year.
