Today was CLASS DAY at Pivot Ministry!

What a FULL and beautiful day of learning, growing, celebrating, and connecting!

We started the day with Bible Study, featuring a panel of amazing women as we explored the story of Rachel. Together, we talked about the importance of waiting on God and the value of working hard, even when the conditions aren’t ideal. Sometimes the process doesn’t look like what we expected, but God is still working in the waiting.

Next, we dove into change and decision-making with our text, Who Moved My Cheese? 🧀 Our takeaway? The cheese will always be moving! Life will bring unexpected changes, but with the right tools, support, and community around us, we can find the courage to keep moving forward, even when the path ahead feels unknown. Because there just might be something GREATER on the other side!✨

Then it was time for lunch, celebrations, and BIRTHDAY CAKE! 🎂🥳

We wrapped up our day with LifeKeys, discovering more about our unique personality gifts and learning how each of us has been uniquely and intentionally created by God.

A day filled with faith, growth, laughter, reflection, and community… a pretty GREAT day indeed!

💙 Small Acts. Big Impact.

This past weekend, Pivot Ministry welcomed a wonderful group of volunteers and mentors for our Volunteer & Mentor Orientation!

Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the mission and heart of Pivot, hear inspiring participant success stories, and gain a better understanding of our protocols and the many ways they can make a difference.

From donating resources and providing lunch to serving on committees such as Human Resources, Governance, and Finance, there are countless ways to get involved. Volunteers can also serve during Graduation as a Greeter, Food Handler, Decorator, and more!

The message is simple: no task is too small when it helps move the mission forward. Every contribution, every hour, and every act of service helps create opportunities for our participants to thrive.

We are grateful for everyone who spent their weekend learning, connecting, and preparing to serve. ❤️

🌸 Please join us in welcoming our new Administrative Coordinator, Daisy Pineda, to the Pivot family! 🌸

Daisy is a devoted wife, mom, fitness instructor, and small business owner with a heart for helping others live healthier lives while growing in their faith. She is passionate about creating opportunities for women and youth to build confidence, community, and strength through fitness and encouragement.

Daisy shares that her relationship with God has transformed many areas of her life and continues to guide both her personal and professional journey. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve with Pivot and be part of a ministry that helps women discover hope, healing, and purpose.

We are excited to have Daisy join our team and look forward to the impact she will make in the lives of the women we serve. Welcome to Pivot, Daisy! 💜✨

As Pivot Ministry prepares for another impactful year of programming, we're looking for compassionate individuals who are ready to make a lasting difference.

Through life-changing classes and meaningful one-on-one mentoring, Pivot Ministry empowers women experiencing low income with the tools, confidence, and support they need to pursue brighter futures at home, in the workplace, and within their communities.

We are currently recruiting mentors for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Mentor Training will take place over two Saturdays:
📍August 8 | Calvary Southside (2009 Peachtree Street)

Learn about our Becoming a Totally Responsible Person and LifeKeys curricula.

📍August 22 | Ardmore Baptist Church (501 Miller Street)

Complete Volunteer Orientation and the remaining mentor training sessions.

Attending mentor training is an opportunity to experience the heart of Pivot Ministry with no obligation to serve. Throughout the training, you'll learn how to encourage women through prayer, help them identify and achieve personal goals, connect them with valuable community resources, reinforce the concepts taught in class, and ensure every participant feels seen, heard, supported, and empowered.
