A big thank-you to the men’s group at North Pointe Pentecostal Holiness Church! 🙏

Last week, Jay Madel dropped off 42 hygiene kits for the men at the prison, all collected through a hygiene drive organized by North Pointe’s men’s group. Basic necessities like these make a real difference in daily life and dignity for the men we serve.

What a weekend in Valle Crucis! 🏔️

More than a dozen men joined us for our retreat in the North Carolina mountains, and it was something special. We kicked things off Friday with a fantastic meal at the Daniel Boone Inn (nobody left hungry!). Saturday morning and evening were spent in learning sessions, digging into real conversations about growth, purpose, and what comes next. In between, the guys hit the trails for ATV rides through the mountains.

The weather didn’t cooperate, but it didn’t matter. The spirit was there, and it was moving. We watched men encourage each other, open up, and leave stronger than they came.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and made this weekend possible. Second chances happen in community. ❤️

A big thank you to the volunteers from Shady Grove Wesleyan Church who led worship at the jail this past Sunday! 🙏

Your time, your music, and your willingness to show up made a real difference. For the men and women who joined the service, it was a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. Ministry like this brings hope to places that need it most.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our Table Sponsors for this year's FJPM Breakfast! 💙

Our Table Sponsors went above and beyond. They sponsored an entire table and filled it with guests they invited to hear about the work of FJPM and our Transition to Work program. Every seat they filled opened a door for someone new to see how second chances change lives and strengthen our community.

A heartfelt thank you to our friends from St. Clement's Episcopal Church! 🙏

This past Sunday, volunteers from St. Clement's joined us to help lead worship at the prison. Their presence, music, and prayers brought warmth and encouragement to everyone in the room. One of the most meaningful moments was sharing Holy Communion together. The men were especially grateful for the chance to gather at the table and receive the sacrament alongside guests from the wider church community.

Ministry like this reminds us that the Body of Christ isn't limited by walls or fences. Thank you, St. Clement's, for showing up, for your generosity of spirit, and for your faithful witness. We're so grateful for you!

Today's Wednesday Word of Encouragement is from Mark Hogsed, Executive Director.

So often, life gets busy and stressful, and we forget to take time to focus on God's promises. Psalm 121:3-8 says, "He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Life can be unpredictable, but we can always count on God’s promises.

What a blessing this past Sunday was! 🙏

We're deeply grateful to the volunteers from Home Moravian Church and St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center who joined us to lead worship at the jail. Your music, prayers, and encouraging words brought hope and light to the men and women who gathered with us.

Ministry like this doesn't happen without people willing to show up and share their gifts. Thank you for giving your time, your talents, and your hearts. You reminded everyone in that room that they are seen, valued, and loved.
