Who doesn’t love thrifting? Come and visit us and shop our thrift store to help the animals! Bring us your donations! Let’s support nonprofits that help the community vs supporting thrift stores that support deep pockets! We are all volunteers who love animals!

ACF Volunteer: “Puma, how can I help you today, sir”?

Puma: “Oh, I am just waiting on my new family to pick me up because I have a real home and a new family with kids to play”.

Volunteer: “OH Really? You’ve come a long way, from being dumped on the road, being in foster care, for months, then having a family”?

Puma: “OH YES Ma’m, I sure have! Did you know because of Barks n' Bargains Supporting Animal Care Foundation that I was able to get all of my vet care? Vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and chip! All because we have PAWSOME customers that shop at our store and support our mission to save homeless animals, like me AND help owners with medical bills for their beloved animals! I am blessed!

Volunteer: “You are right! Proceeds from our store go to help with the vet care of our foster animals and we help owners in the community with our financial assistance program for their animals”.

Puma: “Goodbye Animal CARE Foundation and thank you for taking such great care of me! I will miss you all! I’ll ask my new mom if she can bring me to visit from time to time! Oh, and my new name is Scooby”!

Animals like Puma come to us on a daily basis. Whether they are a stray, dumped, surrendered or come by way of our relationship with animal control for Davidson County, we strive to ensure that they get the proper vet care, quality food and love before heading off to their new home. It’s because of our donors and those that shop at Barks n Bargains, that we are able to say “yes”, more than “We are sorry, we can’t”.

Happy Tails to our sweet Puma! He is one special dog who will continue to thrive in his new home!

Start today with a chuckle.

It takes more than a couple weeks for an adopted pet to realize he/she is home. And returning them to a rescue is heartbreaking for us but more for them.

A Monday funny to get ya thinking on how you can help a rescue pet this week.

ADOPT. DONATE. VOLUNTEER.
