We are so grateful for all those who came and were part of our 4th Karenni Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 25th. We hope vendors, volunteers, and community members found the event to be helpful. Special thank you to The Winston-Salem Foundation for supporting us with their 2026 Small Grant. This has helped provide access to resources and services that our Karenni refugee community may need.

Shout out to our amazing Public Health Education students for the community-engaged work under the direction of Dr. Ana Sucaldito!

Va Meh Du, a sports-based mental health intervention and clinical trial, recently held its final tournament! Htay Meh, Marthalenar Nya Mar, Lexi Kier (second-year PhD), and Rae Saleh (fourth-year undergraduate) have been working on this project all year (or longer) and have helped us serve twice as many youths as last year.

These photos are just snapshots of the hours of time, dedication, and passion these students have exhibited over the past year, which had led to not only scholarly products, but, more importantly, to real on-the-ground impact in NC.
