Don't forget!!! Tomorrow is our work day at the church, in partnership with our great friends who worship along side us at New Story: Purpose of Love Ministries.

Bring your cleaning supplies, vacuums, maybe some gloves and get ready to get some stuff done.

(As an aside, if anyone has a NOT FLUFFY more modern looking or Chesterfield style leather or faux leather couch and or chair sets --example images below--, let us know if you'd be willing to donate it. It CANNOT be fabric for various reasons. We're also in need of two sets of office style furniture for some rearranging we're beginning to do! Feel free to messages us here to ask if we could use whatever you have)

Sometimes nothing all that bad is wrong with you, but you're still not sure about your faith, about church, and about God. It's easy to follow God when things are hard. It's much harder when things are just...okay. Cynicism creeps in, and soon thereafter indifference.

Christ didn’t die for our sins in an attempt to save us from God. He died for our sins to bring us back to God. God is not our enemy and we don’t need saving from Him; but walking with God does exact a heavy price.

For the next two weeks, the final two weeks before his six week renewal leave, Pastor Carter is going to reflect openly and honestly about what he’s been learning about himself and God as he enters into this period of intense self reflection and time with God along the Narrow Way.

There’s a consistent debate in the background of our culture that argues that America was built on Christian values. There’s a lot of opinions about that, but we’ve decided to stop offering opinions and instead compare the Bible to the constitution directly. We’re not arguing about who wrote it and what their stance on Christ was, we’re just comparing the text and seeing what happens when we put the things promised and stated in the Constitution next to the things promised and stated in the Bible.

This week we step out of the shallows and firmly into the deep end of the pool and hot button issues in our culture as we discuss the unalienable right to life and what the Bible might have to say about that.

Join us tomorrow at 10 for worship, an honest community you can feel safe in no matter who you are, and some sassy discussion on the constitution and the Bible!

Three men were once told that, when they heard a certain music, they had to swear allegiance, even worship, their leader and their government. They understood what many of us struggle to understand: we have a higher allegiance that we, under no circumstances, can place equal to or beneath any other allegiance.

Starting tonight at 6 PM, and again Sunday Morning at 10 AM, we're going to look at some very uncomfortable similarities between the Book of Daniel and modern day American Christianity as we open up our new sermon series: We the People: How being the people of God transcends being the people of America.
