We connect arts supporters to the art community and artists to resources.

Arts supporters gathered last night for the opportunity to invest in resources for artists. The well has almost run dry in our trickle down economy. Last night we hoped to fill the cups of those who may be inspired to nourish the arts through 2027.

After being stabilized by generosity, Arts Council can deliver on it's mission to be the hub of the arts ecosystem.

It's a nuanced journey towards a great cause and we're so grateful you are walking with us.

An improv intensive led by Ralf Jean-Pierre.

In this class you'll learn Ralf's approach to improv comedy which de-emphasizes “game” in favor of emotionally connected, physical play that leads with extreme empathetic, almost telepathic, connection with your fellow players. For those interested in the dumbest kind of funny. Long-form NY/Chicago style improv, but very clown-coded.

Ralf Jean-Pierre is a Haitian-American rapper-songwriter, actor, and comedian from Brooklyn, NY. He earned a BFA in Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He has studied improv comedy at the People’s Improv Theater, and has studied clown with Christopher Bayes, Virginia Scott, and Eric Davis.

Ralf was a member of North Coast (https://www.northcoastnyc.com/), NYC’s premier and hip-hop improv comedy team from 2019-2024.

Since 2022 Ralf has hosts the weekly improv comedy podcast No Suggestion (https://www.radiofreebrooklyn.org/show/no-suggestion/), where thoughtful, meandering conversations are turned into improv comedy with the best improvisors in NYC.

Ralf currently teaches as an adjunct professor for the Brooklyn College BFA and BA, NYU Tisch BFA, and Columbia University MFA acting programs.
