Harold and Joanie Brown lost their daughter, Keri Brown Still (pictured), to ALS in 2008 when she was just 29 years old. To honor her and provide information and resources for others living with ALS, they formed Keri’s Crusade for ALS and partnered with The ALS Association North Carolina Chapter to host the first North Carolina ALS Caregivers Conference in 2008. On Oct. 7, the NC Chapter, Keri’s Crusade and Southern Regional AHEC will present the 12th annual NC ALS Caregivers Conference in Clemmons (near Winston-Salem), continuing Keri’s legacy and providing useful information for caregivers of all levels.
