This , we're celebrating five incredible baseball teams who are swinging for a cure for kids with brain tumors!

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Vs. Cancer program was founded on the belief that any athlete, on any team, can help a child facing this devastating disease. We are so thankful for the players and coaches who show up to shave their heads, donate their earnings, and raise critical funds for pediatric brain cancer research.

A massive thank you to the teams at Seton Hill, Poly Prep, Creighton Baseball, LMU Baseball, and Georgia Southern Baseball for turning your seasons into life-changing support. Your generosity gives kids and families hope they need to know they are not facing this journey alone.

Today, we're shining a spotlight on the Seton Hill Baseball team and Head Coach Marc Marizzaldi for knocking it out of the park for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Vs. Cancer program! ⚾️

Over the past 8 years, this incredible team has supported our cause, raising approximately $126,400 to fund lifesaving cures and care. Just this past weekend, their latest event raised an astounding $18,521! Beyond the fundraising achievements, we are deeply moved by the ongoing relationship the team has built with a PBTF patient family.

Thank you for being true champions for our families and ensuring that children facing a brain tumor diagnosis do not have to walk this journey alone. If you'd like to join Seton Hill Baseball on the PBTF Vs. Cancer team, get started at curethekids.org/vs-cancer.

Brain Tumor Awareness Month starts this Friday, and we're continuing to reflect on our 35-year history by highlight the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's Vs. Cancer program. Founded by Chase Jones, a current member of PBTF's Mission Advisory Council, was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer at 18. During his time in the hospital, he realized the positive impact athletes could have on children battling cancer when his teammate from the University of North Carolina visited.

Built on the idea that any athlete at any age can help the next child beat brain cancer, the Vs. Cancer program bridges the gap between sports and advocacy. Today, it empowers everyone from local high school soccer players to collegiate athletes to give back. Hosting a Vs. Cancer game brings entire communities together in a special environment, allowing athletes to make a lifesaving impact on and off the field. Most importantly, it shows the kids fighting this disease that there is a whole team out there who believes in them.
