The WSSA team is always working to grow soccer in Winston-Salem, meaning more players, more games, and more accessible opportunities for people to get active.

Growing our programming takes resources though. WSSA is a grassroots nonprofit, and financial support from our community helps us cover equipment costs, programming, overhead, and the marketing tools we need to keep expanding. If you’ve played with us, supported us, or simply believe in making soccer more accessible in Winston-Salem, consider supporting our work and making a financial contribution on our website.

Every contribution helps us continue building a more diverse and welcoming soccer community that connects our neighbors together everyday! (Link in comments)

Today we relaunched our summer youth soccer program in partnership with Freedom Schools at Old Town Elementary — this opportunity would not exist without their support. We’re hoping to create a welcoming space for kids to learn soccer, build confidence, make friends and have fun. Another thanks to volunteers like Harrison, a local Mt Tabor HS player, for volunteering and helping make our program day awesome. As we grow, community support helps us provide the equipment, coaching, and space our kids deserve. Consider making a donation with the link on our bio and stay tuned for more programming as we grow!

The Winston-Salem Soccer Association has built something really special. Hundreds of ballers have come together through free soccer, friendships, exercise, and the simple joy of playing the beautiful game. Now we need a little help from the community that makes it all possible. One of our nets recently broke, and we’re raising $600 for replacement nets, soccer balls, and equipment that will serve players for years to come while helping us continue growing the game for youth across Winston-Salem.

We have 350 registered players and a brimming city. If each player and neighbor who sees this post gave just $10, we would reach the goal quickly. If you believe these games have brought you joy, community, or friendships, this is your chance to give back towards something that has poured awesome meaningful into many of us.

Thank you for helping keep free soccer alive in Winston-Salem, while also helping us grow and serve youth in our community.
