We're so proud to have Winston-Salem's very own Lizzie of Lizzie's All Natural Products as a featured guest for our upcoming garden tea.

About Lizzie:
You know that saying "a dollar and a dream" well for Owner of Lizzie's All Natural Products, Christen Elisabeth Funderburk, this was absolutely the start of her company. Founded in her dorm room trying to solve a common issue of her eczema, she began to create her own laundry detergent. Little did she know, this was all the beginning of what is now a six figure empire. Christen Funderburk began this company with very little start-up cash, all she knew is that God placed a dream in her heart and it was her destiny to fulfill it. The company was originally founded in July 2017 and now has over 24 products all which are handcrafted, and help people all over the world with their eczema and various skin issues. Christen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is also now a licensed esthetician in North Carolina on a mission to save skin one person, one product at a time.

Jump at the Sun is partnering with author and youth motivational speaker, Charavina Reader, to host a tea party in honor of Little Black Girls of Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County. Nominate your 9-13 year old Little Black Girl to attend the event by completing the registration form on the left.

Local Author:
Charavina Reader is the founder of the Yes You Can! Initiative, and author of the book Dear Little Black, Girl Yes You Can! Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Charavina has seen the city from all angles: from a curious student in the WS/FC school system to an adult engaged in the ever-growing community. With great hope to continually create a thriving Winston-Salem, Charavina's desire to serve people from the youngest to the oldest has taken her on a creative and beautiful journey.

Jump at the Sun:
If we’re ever going to achieve racial equity we must first unpack the stories of how we arrived here. At the core, Jump at the Sun is a celebration and the ongoing beautiful struggle to realize democracy. We believe every child will benefit from an educational system rooted in truth; one willing to teach every aspect of our national history.

​We know that structural racism endures as a result of a veiled understanding of who we are. Racist policies, practices, attitudes, biases and messages continues to be a barrier from us achieving our best.

Now is the time to provide something different!
