The LOVE I feel in my heart right now---- THANK YOU

This is your reminder that the Girl Scouts do not get to pick the price of the Girl Scout cookies. Did I pay $6 for a box, and then donate $65? YES! Yes I did!

Why, you may ask? These girls are out here standing in freezing weather, and snow storms trying their best to raise money for their activities. Learning people skills, and hard work ethic. Think of it like this, you are donating $6, and you’re getting a box of cookies as a thank you! ❤️ Support your local Girl Scouts! They deserve it!

Great opportunity for some of members of Winston-Salem, NC Girl Scout Troop 10116 today! While selling at our local Food Lion the girls had a chance to meet some first responders and get a tour of their fire truck! 🚒 cookies sales + badge work = Saturday win!

Thank you for surrounding our Girl Scouts with goodness and kindness when you visit or pass by a cookie booth. Thank you for asking them thoughtful questions about their goals, their troop's goals, and their service to the community. Your curiosity and encouragement remind them that their voices matter, their dreams are worth chasing, and their leadership has value. Thank you for remembering that this program serves not only our young girls in kindergarten but girls in middle and high school.

Even when the answer is no to "Do you want to buy Girl Scout Cookies?" the conversations that follow help them grow—teaching resilience, problem-solving, and the power of perseverance. These moments shape them into the leaders of tomorrow—leaders who will stand for what is right, uplift those around them, and create a world filled with courage, confidence, and character. Thank you for positively engaging with them.

When we, as a community, stand together to invest in a better tomorrow, we all win. Thank you for believing in our Girl Scouts. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for helping build a future led by strong, compassionate, and capable young women.

During our troop meeting on Monday we discussed what we need to take on camping trips (tents, sleeping bags) and what we do NOT need to take (roller skates and lipstick!). We started some of our rope/knot/shelter skills. And-- we learned why it matters to travel LIGHT-- heavy is hard! 🤣Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont

The weather was PERFECT on Sunday and our troop did not waste it! We used the gorgeous afternoon for a walk-about cookie sale, a troop playdate, and an opportunity to practice our camping skills. Bring on the OUTDOOR ADVENTURES!
