We had the opportunity to attend the 2026 I/DD Legislative Caucus Listening Session, where self-advocates, families, and community members gathered at the NC Legislative Building to advocate for increased Medicaid funding, more Innovations Waiver slots, and higher pay for Direct Support Professionals.

Listening is crucial to our work at First In Families of North Carolina 💙. We are thankful we had the chance to attend the I/DD Legislative Caucus this year!
