Since 2017, Cook Medical
has been more than just the Presenting Sponsor of Beat the Heat - they’ve been a true partner in helping our race grow and thrive.

From marketing and graphic design support, to volunteers, to employees showing up on race day as participants and team members, Cook Medical continues to invest in our running community in meaningful ways year after year.

Their commitment helps make Beat the Heat more than a race — it creates a fun, energetic employee engagement experience while supporting a healthier and more connected community.

Thank you, Cook Medical, for your incredible partnership and for helping make every Beat the Heat special since 2017! 🔥🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🏃‍♀️✨ Big Update for the Cook Medical Beat the Heat 5K! ✨🏃‍♂️

Our “Fundraisers” are now officially called Charity Runners!

We heard feedback that the previous name was a little confusing, so we’re making it simpler and more exciting:

💙 Charity Runner = someone who registers for the race AND raises funds for a local charity partner.

Same great mission.
Same powerful impact.
Just a better name.

Why become a Charity Runner?
✅ Support a local nonprofit you care about
✅ Help grow community impact through running
✅ Earn awesome incentives:
• Raise $200+ → Get your race registration refunded
• Raise $300+ → Twin City Track Club donates an extra $100 to your charity
• Top 5 Charity Runners win ASICS running shoes 👟

The response so far has been incredible:
🔥 290+ registrations
🔥 150+ team members across 20+ teams
🔥 $1,200+ already raised for local charities

There are still more than 2 months until race day — plenty of time to join the movement and make an impact!

Learn more and become a Charity Runner today. See links in bio.
