Like to laugh? Join us Saturday, May 9 for a grown ups only comedy show at the Winsted VFW. We have a group of comedians coming up from New York just for you. It’s going to be an exciting evening and a good reason to get out that night! Don’t sit home next Saturday, join us for some laughs!

The Troop spent Friday night camped out on the green in Winsted for the YMCA’s 14th annual Freezin for a Reason event. We’ve been to the last 13 of them, a good tradition to carry on, hopefully adding some perspective for our scouts. And the unusual camping experience is a little fun too.

This weekend Troop 1027 held our annual Thanksgiving Feast and Court of Honor. 65 merit badges and 12 rank advancements, 2 turkeys in garbage cans, 2 fried turkeys, 1 ham in a Dutch oven, and a slew of sides and deserts. We could do this inside but that would be no fun!
