94-year-old Clara was reunited with her husband on December 20th 2013, 63 years after his death. Sgt. Joseph Gantt told his wife to remarry if he didn’t come back from war. She said no. Joseph served during World War II and was taken prisoner during the Korean War, dying while captive in 1951. His remains were only recently returned to the US and identified. Clara never remarried or had any children. “I always did love my husband, we was two of one kind, we loved each other. And that made our marriage complete.”
