Remembering Carrie Stetson
It is with heavy hearts that the Highland Lake Watershed Association expresses our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Carrie Stetson.
As the beloved owner of the Railway Café, Carrie was so much more than a local business owner. Her dedication shone through her tireless work on numerous town committees, where she constantly strove to bring people together, foster connection, and protect the vibrant spirit of the area we all call home. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone grieving this profound loss.
Rest in peace, Carrie.

May 9 Marine Safety Day has been postponed to a later date. We had included an article about it in our recent newsletter and due to production time we could not edit it there.
We appreciate all the efforts that the Wi******er police department’s marine division is making to help the lake be safe recreational area.  🙂

Recently, the Welcome to Highland Lake sign at Lake St. was run into by a truck.
HLWA purchased & installed the sign in 2014. Members install plants around the sign each spring and take care of them through the summer.
The Winsted Police Department is currently investigating. If you have any information, please contact them.
It is our hope to replace the sign for the community.

On first bay, the temperature last night got down to 4 degrees, and the bay froze completely over!
