We are so grateful to have had Sarah Fecht from Best Self Leadership join our group last week for what turned out to be one of our most impactful sessions yet!

Sarah led a rich and thought provoking discussion on positioning yourself for growth, centered on three powerful questions: who we are, how we are perceived, and how we want to be perceived. It was the kind of conversation that stays with you long after it ends.

Our young professionals dove in with real energy, exploring what growth actually looks like for them personally, how to take the tools and lessons we have already learned and use them to build on our momentum, and how to walk into any room or opportunity with genuine confidence, knowing without question that we belong there.

If you missed it, you missed a great one. We cannot wait to bring you more sessions like this in the future!

A huge thank you to Kate Carlson from Visit Winona for spending time with our Young Professionals and sharing all of the incredible things to see, do, experience, and explore right here in Winona!

From outdoor adventures and arts to dining, events, hidden gems, and ways to get connected, Kate reminded us that community is about so much more than where you work. It’s about finding places, people, and experiences that make you feel connected and inspired.

For young professionals, building roots in a community matters. The more connected you are, the more likely you are to grow personally and professionally, build meaningful relationships, discover opportunities, and truly feel at home. We are so fortunate to live and work in a community with so much to offer.

Thank you, Kate, for helping showcase the energy, vibrancy, and experiences that make Winona such a special place to live, work, and thrive!

Our latest Young Professionals session focused on Workplace Communication: Managing Up, Down, and Across, featuring Mike Kreiling of Express Employment Professionals. Mike led an engaging conversation on how to communicate more effectively in every direction within the workplace and shared practical tools participants can apply right away.

Winona Young Professionals showed up ready to engage, sharing real experiences and gaining new perspective that will help expand their professional skill sets and confidence. We are grateful for the energy in the room and excited to keep building these conversations as part of our monthly Young Professionals programming through the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce.

In March, We kicked off the first event in our 2026 monthly Young Professionals series with a conversation that hit home: Why We Chose Winona. It sparked honest, thoughtful discussion about how each of us ended up here and, more importantly, what made us stay. From career opportunities to community connections, the stories were real and varied.

Attendees also helped shape what comes next by contributing to our “one question” wall, giving us insight into the topics that matter most moving forward.

We are so grateful to be building something meaningful together through the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce and excited to keep the momentum going each month.
