🎉 2027 is bringing some VERY exciting things for Semcac Clinic...but possibly the MOST exciting of all is our BIG 5-0! 🎉

That's right...next year marks Semcac Clinic's 50th Anniversary, and we CAN'T WAIT to celebrate five decades of providing compassionate, confidential family planning and s*xual health care to our communities. 💙

Today, Craig, the Semcac Clinic Operations Director, had the honor of receiving a grant from the Winona Community Foundation to help launch a new mobile clinic initiative for Semcac Clinic.

This project is about one thing: bringing healthcare closer to the people who need it.

Beginning in 2027, the Semcac Clinic mobile clinic will help bring family planning and s*xual and reproductive healthcare directly into communities across the area, especially communities where transportation, geography, or limited access to healthcare providers can create barriers to care.

This mobile clinic will allow us to bring services such as wellness exams, contraception, STI testing and treatment, HIV prevention, pregnancy testing, and health education directly into communities and community spaces.

This grant will help us purchase the equipment and supplies needed to make this vision a reality, including a portable exam table, exam light, clinical supplies, storage and transportation equipment, and outreach materials.

A huge THANK YOU to the Winona Community Foundation for believing in this project and investing in better access to healthcare in our region. And thank you to Mandi and everyone at WCF for helping make projects like this possible. 💙

There is still a lot of work ahead before we hit the road the beginning of 2027, but today feels like an important first step.

Healthcare shouldn’t have barriers, and we are working hard to tear those barriers down!
