After two years, we are ready for the 2021 Season. Trips will begin on or about June 1.

After missing two seasons, Friendship Fish and Float Program is alive and well in Winona. We plan a fun-filled 2021 boating season of service on the Mississippi River with a start date on or about June 1.

Greetings all,

Willie Hahn and I traveled to Poskin, WI to assess the status of the new pontoon, take care of seat placement and a few other details. I think the pontoon will be completed within the next 2 weeks. We were very impressed with the pontoon and I feel it is better than the old one. Once completed it will be shrink-wrapped and await our pick up to transport to Winona. In Winona it will first go to Rite-Way canvas for the enclosure, and once that is completed and the radio, depth finder etc. installed, we are ready to launch.

So get the sunscreen out, keep room in your summer schedules and be ready to go!

Friendship Fish & Float recently received substantial support from Miller Ingenuity. We are very fortunate to have their support. Thank you for all you do for our community!

Miller Ingenuity donated $19,000 toward the revitalization of Winona’s Friendship Fish ‘n’ Float program. The community program provides a free cruising or fishing experience on the Mississippi River to seniors,

FFF now has enough money collected and pledged to pay for the boat and operate for the first year.

The new pontoon has been ordered. It will be delivered in the spring. Then, a canvas canopy will be installed for passenger comfort. So far we have raised half the money needed for our first-year expenses.

Proceeds from this concert support the Winona Friendship Center. Look forward to a good time and get your tickets early.

The Winona Hims, Winona’s men’s gospel chorus, will present its 15th annual gospel concert.

Yesterday, Friday, July 28 the FFF board met to discuss the purchase of a new pontoon and a budget to get back on the river to serve our seniors. We made plans to raise funds and promote the organization. There will be more information for volunteers very soon.
