Lions serve in many ways! Ron is also a member of American Legion Post 9 and the Legion Riders group. Today Miss America stopped in after the Steamboat Days parade!!

Last Friday, members of the Winona Rivertown Lions enjoyed serving a shredded beef sandwich dinner at The Foxhole Discovery in Winona. We had a great time staying for game night, and we presented a check to Rick and Mariah Montgomery, founders of The Foxhole. The Foxhole Discovery is a safe place for men and women in recovery to gather. Their mission is to support, empower, educate, and guide people in recovery and the community.

Twice a year, we collect items to help restock the shelves for local groups that are dedicated to making sure our neighbors have what they need. In spring, we collect items for the warmer months to give to places like the Day Shelter, Overnight Shelter, the East End Rec Center and our Lions Childhood Cancer Foundation.
We’ll have another collection this fall that will also benefit the locals schools and their Care Closets.
