This past Saturday, East Texas Scribes presented our March program on the lettering style called Uncial. This is a hand that is often seen with Celtic Knot embellishment and is exclusively an uppercase style. Members enjoyed using dip pens and broad edge nibs during this learning session.

Join us for our March 7th meeting to learn this ancient hand of Uncial.

Our February 7th program will be on embellishing envelopes, colloquially known as mail art. Doesn’t your heart skip a beat when you find a lovely envelope in your mailbox?

We’ll share some of the decorated envelopes we’ve received over the years as well as copies of mail art sent to friends. We’ll share some fun ways you can add whimsy, beauty, color, etc. to your envelopes. Give your postman and the recipient a smile, and make their day. This will be a hands-on program.
