Hebrews 2:10
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

The Him and this verse refers to God and the captain Jesus Christ. Some may ask how Jesus could be any more perfect than he was but as the writer of Hebrews says a testimony is of no effect until the testator is dead. Regardless of how we perform in good times our true character is known in how we face adversity. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can we truly love and pray for those who hurt us. Had Jesus refused to go to the cross all of humanity would be doomed to hell and Jesus would not have been glorified. We also have Luke telling us that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with both God and man. So we see Jesus throughout his life increasing as we are also called to do. Christ in us the hope of glory

"Luke 22:43
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him."

It appears Jesus was ministered to by Angels more than once. Sometimes we can't imagine Jesus needing help at all but we have to remember that he was a man who suffered the same trials we face and more. Although he was given the Spirit of God without measure and all the fullness of the godhead dwelled in him bodily he was still dependent on God. He once said without the Father he could do nothing. He learned obedience by what he suffered and was obedient even unto death, even to death on the cross. He had the power to lay down his life and take it up. He could walk on water and restore the wounded but he was still tempted in all points even as we are. The flesh was weak and did not want to do what he was sent to do so his Father sent an angel to strengthen him when he prayed not my will but Thine be done. There's one mediator between God and man- the man Lord Jesus. We should not call him Lord if we are not going to do what he says. Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead and you will be saved.

" Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

" Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

"Romans 3:31
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

Paul went to great lengths to make sure that 100% of the glory for our salvation went to God for Jesus Christ but Paul never told christians to dismiss the law. In more than one place Paul told us to behave a certain way because that's what the law said we should do. He also warned that those that thought works made them more spiritual had fallen from grace for it is by grace we are saved through faith and not of works. Making it clear that what Jesus did saved us so that we could do good works and that we should want to do what is required. It's been made clear that Jesus has done everything necessary to redeem us from the curse of sin so far as to give us the Holy Spirit that enables us to walk in obedience and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. If the cross was a cover-up for our sin then the resurrection was the power of God to resist it and be free from it. We know that Christ was manifest to take away our sin and that in him is no sin. If we continue in sin we do not know him and we never knew him. We are told to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. We are told to hold fast to that faith and do not let it slip away. Although we are told that in the last days some will depart from the faith we are also assured that Jesus will never walk away. Faith in what he has done and will continue to do is our peace and assurance. It is finished
