The Mission of the Friends of the Winnsboro TX Animal Shelter is to maintain a healthy and high quality of life for the shelter pets while in the care of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter through community education, promoting spay and neutering of cats and dogs through fund raisers and grants to secure funds for food, vet care, medications, equipment and other necessities for the health, comfort, safety, and care of the shelter pets.

The Friends of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter Spay/Neuter program covers the cost of spaying and neutering pets. To be eligible you must have a Winnsboro address OR pay WISD taxes. Vouchers are then provided for use through the Animal Protection League!

When you are out and about around Winnsboro you can find donation jars to drop spare change into. Every penny is collected and used to take care of the fur babies at the shelter.

Friends of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter is a 501 (c) (3) and all funds support the needs of the Winnsboro Animal Shelter and the animals.

The Winnsboro Animal Shelter is in need of donations of food, supplies, and money to help care for the animals in their care.

Here are some of the items they are specifically in need of:

Dry and canned pet food
Clumping Cat litter
Cleaners (bleach & detergents)
Towels/paper towels
Blankets/sheets
Newspapers
New/Gently used shelters

You can donate supplies by dropping them off at the shelter at 835 Hope Lane, Winnsboro, TX 75494. You can also donate money by visiting their website at www.winnsborotxanimalshelter.org.
