There's a teen who transitioned out of foster care into extended foster care, is in college doing well, working, has her own apartment, and is saving for a car but it's been tough. Anyone know of someone who might want to sell a car on the cheaper side?

There is a foster parent who has a medically complex foster child in need of some adaptive equipment. Insurance has repeatedly denied her requests. I’m reaching out to see if anyone might know someone who has something like these items they would like to donate to this little man.

He needs a sit me up chair and a bath chair but he’s a one year old who weighs 30 pounds so it needs to be geared towards toddlers.

Roots of Care has the honor and joy of providing wrap around support to 30 foster/adoptive moms in our local area. These amazing women give of their hearts, home, time and energy to help make the lives of children better.

Right now, over 500 children in our region are in foster care and fewer than 200 foster families are available to care for them. That means too many children are waiting… and too many are sleeping without the stability of a safe, loving home.

We need help. We need YOU.

If you’ve ever felt a tug on your heart toward foster care, now is the time to learn more.

This orientation will walk you through what foster care really looks like and how you can open your home to vulnerable children in need.

You also have the opportunity to ask questions to current foster parents and a light meal will be provided.
