In our story, the villain is not a kid. It's The Hush.

The Hush is what bullying actually is. A shadow made of silence, shame, and the belief that telling won't change anything. It gets stronger every time a child decides nobody will listen. It wraps around the kid being hurt, and around the kid doing the hurting too.

And it has exactly one weakness. A child who speaks up and gets real support.

That's the whole reason Brave Kind Heart exists. A safe way for kids to say what happened, a friend who listens at any hour, and a clear path to the adults who can actually help.

Break the silence. Break The Hush.

Every parent knows this moment. Standing outside their door, wondering if they're really okay in there.

Some apps answer that by letting you read everything your child writes. We think that breaks the one thing that makes kids open up in the first place.

Brave Kind Heart shows you how your child is doing, their mood, their check ins, and any report they choose to send you, without exposing their private journal or their conversations with Sunny.

You see the light. They keep their diary.

That's the promise we made to kids, and it's why they actually use it.

Kids don't always tell you when something is wrong. But they will tell someone who feels safe.

That's Sunny. The friendly AI companion inside Brave Kind Heart. When your child's light gets dimmed by bullying or a hard day, Sunny listens, helps them calm down, and helps them bring it to you and the adults they trust.

Sunny never replaces you. Sunny helps your child reach you.

Watch their light come back. πŸ’›β˜€οΈ

Most kids won't say it out loud. They show it.

Watch for these five signs:

Sudden fear of school or the bus
Belongings that keep going missing or coming home damaged
Changes in eating or sleeping
Pulling away from friends they used to love
Frequent stomachaches or headaches with no clear cause

One rough week is normal. A pattern is worth a gentle conversation. Ask open questions, listen more than you talk, and make sure they know nothing they tell you will get them in trouble.

Brave Kind Heart gives kids a safe way to tell you what's really happening, and gives you a clear way to respond.

Building a safer world, one brave voice at a time.

A humongous shoutout to Justin Burns, the Apps Built with AI team, and the entire community of app builders.

In this heartfelt message, Emma Jones Blackshire shares her deep gratitude for the incredible support in bringing the Brave Kind Heart app to life. When trauma and pain felt overwhelming, Justin and his team listened, understood, and helped build a powerful tool designed to prevent bullying so that no child or adult has to suffer in silence.

Brave Kind Heart is more than just an app. It is a movement to bring healing, awareness, and prevention to the bullying epidemic. By giving people a safe space to report, talk, and heal, we can stop the cycle together.

Thank you, Justin, for helping us spread this vital message and for being there every step of the way. We are forever grateful.

How are you spreading kindness in your community today? Let us know in the comments below.

New backpacks. New schedules. And for too many kids, a return to something they've been dreading all summer.

The federal data:

β†’ 1 in 5 students ages 12–18 report being bullied at school
β†’ 6th graders are hit hardest β€” 27%
β†’ Fewer than half (44%) tell a teacher or any adult at school

That last number is why I started Bullying Report It Please.

Kids don't stay quiet because they don't care. They stay quiet because they don't have the words yet.

So we built Brave Kind Heart Kids β€” an app that helps kids name what they're feeling and navigate bullying, with real resources for parents too.
