🚨🧦🔪 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: “HANNIBAL LECTER” AKA ECHO 🔪🧦🚨
(Please read the ENTIRE post before applying because this gremlin comes with terms and conditions 😂)

Meet Echo — a soon-to-be 1 year old male merle French Bulldog who looks like he escaped a maximum security prison… but is actually just a tiny emotionally needy potato with zero self-control around fabric. 😭

Yes. The muzzle.
Yes. We know.
Yes. He absolutely looks like he’s about to ask for fava beans and a nice chianti. 🍷💀

But behind that tiny mesh Hannibal Lecter mask is honestly one of the sweetest little dogs you will ever meet.

Echo LOVES:
🖤 Other dogs
🖤 People
🖤 Children
🖤 Being held like a spoiled baby
🖤 Sitting in your lap
🖤 Snuggles
🖤 Following you everywhere
🖤 Committing felony-level textile crimes

Unfortunately, Echo’s life has not exactly been easy.

His first owner surrendered him because his wife “didn’t like the shedding.” 😑
He was later adopted from us, but despite everyone trying their best, Echo developed a dangerous habit of chewing and swallowing fabric items when bored or unattended.

A couple weeks ago, his adopter contacted us after Echo vomited up a sock and then stopped eating and drinking. We immediately suspected a remaining foreign body obstruction and advised emergency veterinary care. Unfortunately, the adopter could not financially provide the extensive medical care Echo needed, so he was surrendered back to us.

And sadly… we were right.

Echo STILL had cloth material trapped in his stomach and required emergency foreign body surgery that cost several thousand dollars. He spent days hospitalized through the holiday weekend at the emergency clinic before transferring to our regular vet for continued care.

Thankfully… this little gremlin survived. ❤️

Echo is now recovering beautifully in foster care, but this entire ordeal taught us EXACTLY what kind of home he truly needs.

So let’s be brutally honest.

🚨 Echo CANNOT live in chaos.
🚨 Echo CANNOT have access to socks, underwear, dish towels, blankets, clothing, or random fabric items.
🚨 Echo CANNOT be trusted unattended without management.
🚨 Echo absolutely WILL eat your emotional support hoodie if given the chance.

This dog requires:
✔️ Structure
✔️ Consistency
✔️ Supervision
✔️ People who clean up after themselves
✔️ Adults with functioning laundry habits 😂

We would strongly prefer:
🏡 A home without small children
OR
🏡 Older children who are EXTREMELY responsible about keeping belongings picked up

Because let’s be real… kids leave socks everywhere and Echo considers socks a delicacy.

This dog needs a home where:
🧺 Hamper lids exist
👕 Laundry is not floor décor
🧦 Dirty socks are not considered enrichment toys
🙃 No messy man leaves basketball shorts laying around

Echo is also a French Bulldog… and we need applicants to understand the reality of this breed.

Frenchies are adorable little gargoyles, but they are NOT cheap dogs. They are basically a “Bankruptcy Starter Kit” with breathing problems and attitude. 😂

Echo has already had:
✔️ BOAS surgery
(soft palate/stenotic nares surgery commonly needed in brachycephalic breeds)

And like many Frenchies, he may require:
💰 Special diets
💰 Ongoing skin care
💰 Emergency vet care
💰 Frequent medical management over his lifetime

So yes — Echo WILL have a higher adoption fee.

And honestly?
If the adoption fee itself feels unreasonable, then a French Bulldog probably is not the right breed for your household. We say that with love, honesty, and Echo’s massive emergency vet bill sitting directly in front of us. 😅

His ideal home would include:
❤️ Someone home often
❤️ Someone experienced with French Bulldogs or brachycephalic breeds
❤️ Someone financially prepared for future medical needs
❤️ Someone willing to manage his environment carefully
❤️ Someone who understands his muzzle is NOT punishment — it’s safety

And despite all of this?

Echo is still just a goofy little sweetheart that wants someone to love him enough to keep him alive from his own terrible decisions. 😭😂

Echo is:
-UTD on all vaccines, rabies, bordatella.
-dewormed
-neutered
-microchipped
-heartworm negative and had a Proheart 6 for prevention
- current on flea/tick prevention (Bravecto).

He may look like Hannibal Lecter…
…but honestly the only thing this little goblin wants to consume is your socks and your personal space.

📩 If you think you may be Echo’s perfect weirdly organized soulmate, please submit an application.
But seriously… pick up your laundry first. 🧦💀

Echo is still in recovery for the next week until a follow up exam, and then will be ready for his new home,
But we are now taking applications!

And….. another💔

💔 Meet Murph the Smurf 💔
Or at least… that’s what we’re calling this tiny little survivor for now. 🥺
This approximately 9-week-old baby wandered up to someone’s doorstep in a very rural area looking for help. Completely alone. No mama. No siblings. No idea where he came from. Just this sweet little face and a body that is clearly hurting. 💔
Murph currently weighs just over 5 pounds and has already been seen by our vet for a full exam. He is loaded down with hookworms and is suffering from severe skin issues that appear to be both fungal AND bacterial. Large portions of his fur are missing and his skin is painfully inflamed, especially on his little legs and feet. 😭
And yet somehow… despite all of that… he is still SO unbelievably sweet.
We honestly do not understand how people can look at a baby like this and not help him.
Murph has already started multiple medications, medicated baths, deworming treatment, and supportive care. Thankfully he is safe now and finally getting the medical attention he desperately needed.
The good news? Underneath all those skin issues is going to be one STUNNING little puppy someday. You can already see it in those huge ears, soulful eyes, and that precious little face. 🥹
Right now though, Murph needs all of us.
His medical care is already adding up quickly and we would greatly appreciate donations toward his treatment and recovery. Every dollar helps us continue saying YES to babies like Murph when nobody else will.

Please keep this sweet little Smurf baby in your thoughts while we work on healing both his skin and his little heart. ❤️🐾
We promise you one thing:This will NOT be the end of Murph’s story.

🚨 ECHO UPDATE: OUR LITTLE FABRIC-EATING MENACE STRIKES AGAIN 🚨

Well friends… it’s been one heck of a day over here. 🥲

Many of you may remember Echo — the almost 1 yr old male merle French Bulldog that was previously adopted from us. Unfortunately, Echo recently made some very poor life choices involving fabric… because apparently this tiny potato identifies as a goat. 🧦🫠

A few days ago Echo ate a sock and vomited it back up. Not his first time, unfortunately. Everyone hoped that was the end of his stomach gymnastics, but sadly it was not. Two days later he still would not eat or drink, so his adopter reached out to us concerned.

We immediately got Echo to the emergency vet where imaging revealed MORE fabric still trapped in his stomach, requiring emergency surgery. 💔

Thankfully surgery went well and Echo is now recovering back at our regular vet clinic, but his medical bill is already OVER $2,000 and continuing to rise.

After this emergency, Echo’s adopter made the very difficult but responsible decision to surrender him back to us. This was not done out of lack of love. Some dogs simply require an extraordinary level of monitoring and medical preparedness, and his adopter realized he was not financially equipped for emergencies of this magnitude nor able to safely prevent Echo from turning every piece of fabric into a potential snack. Sometimes loving an animal means recognizing your limitations and doing what is best for them — and we respect that honesty. ❤️

Now let’s talk about Echo himself…

This dog is SWEET. He is goofy, lovable, hilarious, affectionate, and approximately 87% bad decisions. 😂 He truly had everyone terrified these last couple of days and we are so thankful he pulled through surgery.

Once fully recovered, Echo will need a VERY special unicorn home:🧦 No socks🛏️ No blankets🧺 No unattended laundry🧸 No mystery fabric items🚫 Basically if it’s soft and shouldn’t be swallowed, Echo thinks it’s a delicacy.

We’re honestly considering applicants who live exclusively in concrete rooms and wear swimwear year-round. Or nothing at all. KIDDING… mostly. 😭😂

In all seriousness, we desperately need help covering Echo’s emergency surgery and medical care. Rescue never stops, and emergencies like this hit incredibly hard financially.

If you would like to donate toward Echo’s care we would greatly appreciate it!

🎉🐾 HAPPY TAILS, BAILEY! 🐾🎉

Our sweet little Bailey officially found her forever home today, and honestly… we could not have dreamed up a more perfect match for this tiny little lovebug. 🥹❤️

This precious girl went from being surrendered and overlooked to landing the sweetest family imaginable — complete with warm laps, endless love, and the happily ever after she always deserved. 🏡✨

Congratulations, little Bailey. Your new life starts now, baby girl. ❤️

💙ADOPTED 💙
🥹🐾 LITTLE BAILEY IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER LAP 🐾🥹

Meet Bailey — a precious little 5½-month-old Dachshund mix weighing in at a whopping 7.3 pounds of love, sweetness, and tiny baby energy. ❤️

This little girl was surrendered to a local shelter simply because… when she gets nervous or super excited, she sometimes pees a little. 😔

And honestly? At seven pounds, it’s barely more than a dramatic sprinkle. 😂

Bailey certainly didn’t deserve to lose her family over something so small.

She is still working on house training like any baby puppy, but what she DOES already know is how to love people with her whole heart. 🥹 She wants nothing more than to curl up in your lap, follow you everywhere you go, and be your tiny shadow through life.

Bailey is:✨ Spayed✨ Microchipped✨ Up to date on vaccines, rabies & Bordetella✨ Heartworm negative✨ Current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention✨ Hernia repaired during her spay✨ Great with other dogs✨ Professionally adorable

She’s soft, loving, gentle, and one of those little dogs that just melts into you when you hold her. ❤️

What Bailey needs now is a family who understands that perfect dogs don’t exist… but deeply lovable ones absolutely do.

Somewhere out there is a couch with her name on it.A warm blanket.A lap.A person who won’t care about the occasional excited ti**le because they’ll be too busy loving this tiny little baby. 🐾

And we have a feeling once Bailey finds that home… she’s never letting go. 🥹

🚐🐾 ALL ABOARD THE PADDY WAGGIN’… WISCONSIN OR BUST!! 🧀❄️🐶

On 5/7/26 SEVENTEEN precious Louisiana pups packed their bags, loaded up the transport van, and officially headed north to our absolutely AMAZING rescue partners in Wisconsin for their second chance at forever homes! On 5/8/26 they were all delivered safe and sound and settled in to their foster homes. 🥹❤️🐾

From the backroads of Louisiana to brand new beginnings up north… these babies are trading heat, humidity, and swamp puppies status for comfy couches, fluffy beds, belly rubs, and families of their very own. 🛋️🐕✨

And guess what?! Several of them have ALREADY BEEN ADOPTED before the transport doors were even cold! 😭🎉👏

THIS is why transport matters.
THIS is why rescue partnerships matter.
THIS is why we keep going even when we are exhausted, covered in fur, running on caffeine, and wondering whose idea it was to juggle 47 things at once. 😂☕🐾

Without incredible rescue partners willing to step up and help us… we simply could not continue saving more animals here in Louisiana. Every dog that leaves opens space for another life to be saved. ❤️

So today we celebrate:
🐾 Safe travels
🐾 Fresh starts
🐾 Forever homes
🐾 Rescue teamwork
🐾 And 17 very good boys and girls beginning their next chapter 🥹❤️

Huge thank you to our Wisconsin rescue partners, transport volunteers, fosters, adopters, supporters, and every single person cheering these babies on along the way. We could NEVER do this alone. 🫶🐶

Now go live your best cheese-curd-eating, snow-sniffing, couch-potato lives, babies. 🧀❄️😂
