Seven projects will receive up to $2.75 million over five years through Commerce’s Montana Tourism Development Grant Program. These projects drive sustainable growth in rural and under-visited areas through improvements to tourism infrastructure, product development and preservation of natural and cultural heritage.

The Community Enhancement Committee met last week at the Punchy Paint - a big moment for our group. Past meetings were held in an under-construction building, often gathered around a construction light with little to no heat. Seeing the finished space is incredibly rewarding and a true reflection of the community’s hard work. We also couldn’t have asked for a better tenant - the coffee shop is a perfect addition to both the building and the community.

You’re invited to join us for a Winnett Community Check-In on Wednesday, February 18.

This meeting will offer a chance to connect on ongoing projects across local community groups, learn more about the work happening in Winnett, and create space to share ideas and dream up plans for the year ahead. We will also include updates from the Montana Main Street Program, as Winnett has recently been accepted as a member community.

We are honored to have been chosen for a grant through the Montana Main Street Program! These funds will go toward the courthouse renovation - specifically for adding a fire escape.

Eleven Montana Main Street member communities will share $600,000 in grant funding through Commerce’s Montana Main Street Program. Our MMS team works with local partners to identity and plan for a community’s greatest development needs and provides seed money to help implement high-impact projects.

Congratulations to: City of Boulder, Montana, Town of Broadus, City of Fort Benton Montana, City of Hardin, City of Havre, Citylewistownmt, City Of Miles City, City of Red Lodge, Montana, City of Roundup, Town of Terry and Town Of Winnett.

We have a recent addition to our lot! We were lucky enough to be chosen as a location for a phone booth from Jim Dolan Art's Montana Phone Booth Project. We hope this will serve as a reminder for people to stay in touch and reach out if they ever need help. Thanks Jim for bringing this meaningful piece of artwork to Winnett!

Membership demonstrates the commitment of these communities to strengthening and preserving their historic downtown commercial districts by supporting economic development, urban revitalization and historic preservation through long-range planning and promotion.

We’re looking for a tenant to occupy the first-floor business space in the newly renovated 55 Main Building in downtown Winnett! Our vision is to bring in a business that serves the community—such as a coffee shop, ice cream parlor, bakery, or sandwich shop—but we’re open to all ideas.

Overview: Located at 55 Main is a public convenience facility with laundry, public restrooms, and showers. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing laundry, restroom and shower fixtures, replenishing supplies, monitoring and addressing any maintenance issues, and ensuring a pleasant and sanitary environment for restroom users.
