At the Winner Regional Health Foundation, we are continually humbled by the generosity of our community. Thanks to the incredible support we received during our Holiday Festival and the many donations made throughout the year, and a significant donation from BankWest of South Dakota, we were able to purchase TWO new LIFEPAK® cardiac monitors/defibrillators for Winner Regional Health's Hospital and Emergency Department.
These advanced devices play a critical role in emergency care. LIFEPAKs allow healthcare providers to:
- Monitor a patient's heart rhythm in real time.
- Deliver life-saving defibrillation when someone is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
- Perform synchronized cardioversion to treat certain abnormal heart rhythms.
- Monitor vital signs and quickly assess a patient's condition during medical emergencies.
Having this state-of-the-art equipment means our physicians, nurses, and emergency staff are better equipped to provide fast, accurate, and life-saving care when every second matters. Our staff is now trained and ready to use these devices- and are in turn better equipped to save lives.
