Winneconne Area Assistance Center

Winneconne Area Assistance Center We provide a community-wide effort to help our neighbors who may be in need while maintaining confidentiality and dignity of each individual.

On December 1, 2000 the WAAC was incorporated as a nonprofit organization registered with the State of Wisconsin. WAAC evolved from a meeting initiated by community leaders and the local clergy, who determined the need for a unified community assistance effort.

Something new for December this year, share with a Classroom, Scout Troop, Church Youth Group, or anyone you think would like a challenge.

The idea with the Reverse Advent Calendar is the opposite of what we normally do. Instead of taking something out the idea is to put something aside for Advent to give to someone else. The calendar allows the giver to fill a basket to be given to a local food pantry after it is filled. We're closed Christmas Eve but will be open, Saturday December 27th.

Thanks for all the support you've been giving to the pantry in the last few weeks. Just a heads up another way to help, is Shop The Pig, 11-9 to 12-20 ROUND UP for Winneconne Area Assistance Center and Ruth's Pantry (Wi******er) will split the donations 50/50.

Once again, thanks for all you do to help support WAAC.

Please share, this is real, thanks to some gracious donors tonight for helping our local pantry.

WAAC is open Saturday, 9-10:30 and Wednesday, 5-6:30

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has posted a notice on its website saying federal food aid will not go out Nov. 1, raising the stakes for families nationwide as the government shutdown drags on.

Please consider a donation to your local food bank/pantry as millions of families continue to struggle to make ends meet. TY 🩵
