Marble madness for the bears. Our scouts learned 3 different games to play with marbles, built race tracks and a marble maze. They all got to leave with an overflowing bag of marbles.

Our Scouts have been busy out in the community for Scouting for Food, canvassing their neighborhoods and collecting donations to support the food pantry, Loaves & Fishes at the Church of the Four Seasons

Thanks to the hard work of our Scouts and their amazing families, we collected a total of 404 pounds of food! That’s 404 pounds of support heading right back into our community.

We were also joined at drop-off by Pastor Liz, who took the time to thank the Scouts and remind them just how important and appreciated their efforts truly are. Moments like that really bring home what Scouting is all about.

And after all that hard work… the Scouts turned those cereal boxes into one epic domino line! Because let’s be honest, you’ve got to mix a little fun in with doing good. 😊

Great job, Scouts!

Tonight a few of our Bear scouts worked on their Chef adventure. They learned about different appliances, how to read recipes and then made their own biscuits from scratch. They did a great job and the biscuits were delicious.

This morning some of our Scouts volunteered some of their time at the Boone Grove Fire Department’s annual pancake breakfast. They all worked so hard but were rewarded with yummy pancakes and sausage. Great job 406!

A huge thank you to the Church of Four Seasons for inviting Pack 406 to be part of your Scout Sunday service today It truly meant so much to our scouts and families to be welcomed so graciously.

We are incredibly grateful for your continued support and for allowing our pack to meet at your church. Having a place where our scouts can come together to learn, grow, and work on their many adventures is something we do not take for granted. Your generosity and partnership help make the Scouting experience possible for so many kids.

Thank you for opening your doors and hearts to our Pack 406 family. We are proud to call the Church of Four Seasons our home.

Thank you to our charter organization for your continued support of Cub Scout Pack 406. This morning Pack 406 had the honor of joining Troop 88 to take part in a meaningful service that reflected our duty to God and the values of Scouting.

As Cubmaster, I could not be more proud. Our scouts represented our pack with respect, focus, and true Scout spirit. They participated beautifully during the service and demonstrated outstanding behavior throughout the morning.

Your support makes experiences like this possible, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to grow, serve, and learn within your community. Thank you for believing in our scouts and in the mission of Scouting.

Sometimes you don’t realize how far a small act of kindness can travel.

The other day, one of our Scouts Grandfathers was talking to a longtime coworkers, someone he worked alongside for nearly 40 years, shared a story that stopped us in our tracks. He told the Grandpa that he had recently visited his father’s gravesite and found a wreath placed there. He had no idea how it got there.

The Grandpa asked if his father was a veteran. He said yes, a World War II veteran.

That’s when the grandpa explained how his grandsons Cub Scout Pack had visited a cemetery in Crown Point, placing wreaths on veterans’ graves. The scouts carefully cleaned each headstone, read the name aloud, stood tall, saluted, and thanked them for their service.

As the story unfolded, they realized something incredible. The cemetery the scouts had visited was the very same one where his father is buried.

The grandfather said his friend immediately broke down in tears. He couldn’t thank the kids enough for honoring his father in such a meaningful way.

A simple act by a group of scouts turned into a moment of deep gratitude and connection, and a reminder that respect, service, and kindness truly live on. ❤️ Great job 406!

Tonight our Lions built it up and knocked it down! 🦁

They worked together to build domino towers, learning teamwork along the way. Then we swapped gingerbread houses for camping fun and created edible campsites using frosting, graham crackers, ice cream cones, and lots of candy. A sweet and successful night!

Today Pack 406 had the honor of participating in Wreaths Across America in The City of Crown Point. We began with a beautiful ceremony that paid tribute to the brave men and women of the United States military.

After the ceremony, we went to the cemetery where each veteran was honored by name before placing a wreath upon their grave. Hearing their names spoken aloud was a powerful reminder that their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

It was a meaningful and humbling experience, and such a beautiful way to teach our Scouts the importance of remembrance, respect, and gratitude
