This morning the Putnam County Deputy Sheriff Association members, Putnam County Day Report, Poca Volunteer Fire Department and family members (some not pictured) with the help of Target in Teays Valley was able to successfully purchase Christmas gifts for 27 children within the Putnam County area. This program would not be a success without the publics help through our fundraising events through out the year. Thank you to all that donated in any way possible to make sure the children we sponsor are able to wake up to a wonderful Christmas morning.

Congratulations to the two winners of our half a beef and half a hog raffles this morning. We want to extend a special thank you to the farmers market in Winfield for always being so supportive of the sheriffs office. THANK YOU to every single person who purchased a ticket this year to help out with our wonderful cause. Because of you we will get to help more children in our community this year!

Again if you’re out and about today in Winfield stop by the Putnam County Sheriff Department and ask the front desk for Corporal Veith. Come buy a ticket and support a good cause and make sure every child in Putnam County has a wonderful and memorable Christmas morning.

The Putnam County Stop Team’s Trunk or Treat was a success despite the nasty weather. Thank you all of those who were in attendance this evening. Also thank you to BG’z LA Street Tacos for coming out and serving up some delicious food.

This is the last week to purchase a ticket for this raffle. If you are interested in purchasing one please let me know. If you’re local and in Winfield this week stop by the office from 8-4 and purchase one or several. Ask for Corporal Veith at the front desk. No better time than now to possibly fill your freezer for the up coming winter months. All the proceeds go to local kids for Christmas with our shop with a cop program!
