As we have said before, Cumbernauld is blessed to have a partnership with USD 465 and have the Little Vikes pre-school program on our campus. The connections that our residents develop with the Little Vikes is awesome!
We are also blessed to have an awesome teacher leading the program. Mrs. Nicole Veatch - Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

The school year is wrapping up. The kids practiced their Spring Sing songs for the residents last week.

Last week in our “Travel to…” edition, we visited (discussed) Sarah and Anita’s hometown of Caldwell, KS and the local Czech community that is in the area. The group enjoyed some delicious kolaches from Caldwell’s Kolache Kitchen.

It was amazing to hear that so many didn’t know what kolaches were, but everyone enjoyed this special treat.

What better way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo than test tasting salsa flavors with some margaritas! We purchased the salsa flavors from the Amish Cheese Market a couple weeks ago. All were so good! It was hard to pick a favorite.

Cumbernauld residents and staff have been hard at work making sure our campus is beautiful this spring and summer. The flowers that have been planted at our entrances and on our patios have brightened up our community. Thank you everyone!
