We will be there! Stop by the Eckes Camp table to learn more about the SUVCW!

Mark your calendars now--if you haven't already! Saturday, January 31, 9:00 Baden Square is the annual Celebrate Cowley County History event! Winfield has a long history of nursing schools. Have you ever wondered how many or when they began and where they were? Sharon Taylor will have the answers. Aviation from the early 1900's had an extraordinary presence in Cowley County and particularly Arkansas City. Gary Learned has researched and will present that wonderful history with pictures. One of the tragedies of any war are those soldiers that are lost and never return home. Chris Jarvis will tell the story of one of those soldiers from Winfield, Lovell Stuber. In addition to these stories, two more interesting stories will be printed in the booklet that will be for sale but will not be formally presented. This is a free program but donations will be appreciated. (See the attached flyer for additional information)
