We are sorry to announce that our annual Winesburg Fall Gathering has been canceled for 2020. 2020 is a year of many cancellations due to Covid-19, as we know, and as the WCBA considered the need to social distance and keep everyone safe, we decided it was best to look forward to our Fall Gathering in 2021. The Winesburg Benefit Auction this year will be an online auction, scheduled to begin on September 1, 2020, and will end on September 19, 2020,at 7:00 p.m. We hope you will follow the auction or bid on the website kaufman-auctions.com. Please plan to be in Winesburg on September 18, 2021, for our 2021 Fall Gathering, as well as our 26th Quinquennial Reunion!

The 3rd Saturday each June is "usually" the Winesburg Garage Sales. However, 2020 is by no means "usual" and the Winesburg Community Business Assoc. is not sponsoring the Garage Sales this year. However, a number of our community residents are planning garage sales, so plan to stop by (practice "social distancing"!) and see what our neighbors have on their tables!

This week we feature Beechy's, Inc. Beechy's is a family owned and operated full-service auto repair facility, handling everything from oil changes to engine overhauls. The company has some employees who have been with the company for over 20 years. They now have 2 locations to better serve their customers. The Winesburg location, now undergoing an expansion, is a full service garage, serving passenger vehicles to semi-tractor trailers.

The 26th Quinquennial Winesburg Reunion will be held on September 18, 19, and 20, 2020. The Winesburg Reunion is held every 5 years, so most recently occurred in 2015. Our Reunion this year will be held in conjunction with the Winesburg Fall Gathering and we are looking forward to having many former Winesburgers back in town for this special weekend in September!

This week we feature The Winesburg Dariette. Robyn Gilyard and Sharon Mast have an excellent staff who are anxious to serve you a wonderful hot breakfast, as well as a great lunch or dinner! Ice cream is one of their specialties; come enjoy a wide variety of offerings! You'll find many of the locals eating here, enjoying the good food and the lively conversation!

This week we feature the Beacon Cafe, our newest eating establishment in Winesburg! The Beacon, owned by Ina Stoltzfus, has been a great addition to Winesburg, and continues to grow in popularity with residents and visitor alike! Come for breakfast and enjoy a breakfast sandwich, baked oatmeal, muffins and other items...or just enjoy one of the many specialty coffees! Lunch offerings include a number of panini choices, soups, salads, and more. Hours are 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday and Thursday; 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Beacon is closed on Sunday.
