It's been just 9 weeks since the doors of API opened and the work began. This morning I thank God for the women who have reached out to our services. I am thankful for almost 20 partners who have availed their services to meet the challenging needs of women in Northeast NC. Why not contact us or refer someone to our services? API's first Leadership Luncheon on July 7th was a huge success!!! Calling all businesses, organizations, corporations, faith-based institutions, service organizations, and etc to join us in building and strengthen our communities by partnering with us. Women lives are being enriched and transformed. No woman left behind.

It's Official!!!! The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for A Pathway To Independence will be held on May 25th; my 52nd birthday, at 128 Granville Street, Windsor, NC. I am so excited about what God's Vision for the edification of His Precious Vessels-women and young girls. Partnerships with Martin Community College, Roanoke Chowan Community College, Workforce Development, CADA, PNC Bank, Perdue Farms, MCC Small Business Centers, RCC Business Center, REA, Home Health Care Options, Bertie County local government, the Office of Congressman G.K.Butterfield and several other agencies have been working together to create modules and networks that "no woman will be left behind."Serving women in Northeast North Carolina.

A Pathway To Independence-We are well on our way!!!! Now the real work begins!!! I am grateful for all the support already given and on our first day of fasting and praying, God has already begun to give us FAVOR!!! I have received calls for donated furniture and volunteers in their areas of expertise. BUT WE NEED MORE!!! Ladies, get your paint and paint brushes and let's get ready to bring a "ladies touch" to our building. The Bertie Ledger Newspaper will be giving us FRONT PAGE coverage; so pick up your edition on Wednesday!!!! Get a couple of copies and distribute them and watch God provide us "An Open Heaven" above us. I posted this earlier this week and asked all my friends to join me beginning midnight tonight in fasting and prayer for the next 7 days that God will make provisions for the Vision and works. We begin at midnight on our fast of nothing but juice and water until 3pm daily. Please pray 3 times a day for me and A Pathway To Independence. We will see the manifestation of our prayers.
