At its core, Bear Trust is a science-based conservation organization. Everything we do and support stems from information garnered from science. We strive to provide engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education for youth by translating real-world data from field studies into science-based conservation curricula. As part of our education program, we hope to help youth unders

tand the difference between evidence based information and emotion. We also conduct rigorous, relevant research on bears, the results of which we provide to resource managers to help conservation efforts. We also do on-the-ground conservation to help minimize bear-human conflicts, which helps save the lives of humans and bears. Check out our new on-the-ground conservation program in India. Bear Trust deeply values and seeks collaboration to maximize talents, resources, and time. We work with governmental and non-governmental organizations around the world where bear habitat exists. Some of our partner organizations explicitly do not support hunting, others explicitly do support hunting. Bear Trust International is a founding member of the American Wildlife Conservation Partners, which supports the hunting heritage. Bear Trust supports science-based, regulated hunting of populations of wild animal species that are not vulnerable, threatened or endangered.
