Congratulations to Southington Bread For Life, recipient of CSI's 2026 Brian Farrell, Sr. Heart of LISA, Inc. Award! 🏆🎉

Presented annually at our Golf Classic, the Brian Farrell, Sr. Heart of LISA, Inc. Award honors organizations whose compassion, service, and commitment to others make a meaningful and lasting impact in the community. Named in honor of the late Brian Farrell, Sr., the award celebrates his legacy of kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others, recognizing those who carry forward that same spirit by helping people feel seen, supported, and never forgotten.

For years, Bread For Life has been a trusted source of nourishment, hope, and connection for individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community. Through the dedication of its staff, volunteers, supporters, and community partners, the organization provides not only meals, but also dignity, encouragement, and support to thousands of people each year.

Our Brian Farrell, Sr. Heart of LISA, Inc. Award honors those who lead with compassion and create meaningful opportunities for people to thrive. Bread For Life exemplifies these values every day through its unwavering commitment to ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. Their work strengthens families, builds connections, and reminds people that they are cared for and supported.

We are proud to recognize Missy Cipriano and the entire Bread For Life team for their extraordinary service and dedication to our community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for the countless ways you make a difference each day.
Please join us in congratulating Bread For Life! 👏

Congratulations to Usi Insurance Services, recipient of CSI's 2026 John Berman Impact Award! 🏆🎉

Presented annually at our Golf Classic, the John Berman Impact Award recognizes individuals and organizations whose leadership, generosity, and commitment strengthen the lives of others. John Berman's legacy was rooted in creating opportunities and believing in the power of second chances, and this year's recipient embodies that spirit in extraordinary ways.

For years, USI has been far more than CSI's benefits broker. They have been a dedicated sponsor, volunteer, advocate, connector, and friend. Through their support of our Golf Classic, leadership of winter needs drives, hands-on volunteerism, and commitment to engaging others in our mission, the USI team has consistently demonstrated what it means to be a true community champion.

Under the leadership of Kim Quigley, USI's partnership has extended far beyond financial support. Their generosity, enthusiasm, and belief in our work have helped create meaningful opportunities for the youth and adults we serve while inspiring others to get involved and make a difference.

We are deeply grateful to the entire USI team for standing alongside CSI and helping make what's possible a reality for so many. Thank you for your partnership, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to our community.

Please join us in congratulating USI on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

Thank you Greater Hartford Gives!

As summer comes to a close and we begin preparing for the cold weather ahead of us, we are thrilled to announce that the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation has awarded CSI a $20,000 grant to help our local residents stay warm. These funds will provide new winter coats and basic needs for our male and female clients at our adult residential programs in Hartford and Bloomfield.

Many clients enter our programs with few belongings, including clothing. It is rare for any of them to arrive with proper winter coats, hats, or gloves to get them through the cold winter months. This generous grant will ensure they all stay warm, comfortable, and prepared as temperatures drop, while also providing a sense of dignity and reminding them that a caring community is around them as they embark on a new path.

We are deeply grateful to the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation for this meaningful support. A warm coat may seem like a simple thing, but for someone starting over, having the essentials they need can make a very real difference.

We are excited to announce that CSI has received a generous grant of $15,000 from the Champlin Foundation of Rhode Island! This grant will fund important safety improvements at Coventry House, our residential program for boys ages 12–17.

Over time, the driveway at Coventry House has significantly deteriorated, creating safety concerns for residents, staff, and visitors. Thanks to this funding, CSI will be able to complete much-needed repairs that will improve accessibility, enhance safety, and ensure reliable access for everyday program operations, including transportation to school, appointments, and community activities, as well as staff and visitor access to the home. The repairs will also help maintain safe and dependable access for emergency response. Following completion of the project, a basketball hoop will be installed, allowing the boys to enjoy an additional outlet for exercise, recreation, and social connection.

At Coventry House, youth referred by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families receive around-the-clock care and support in a structured, home-like environment where they can heal, grow, and build brighter futures.

We are deeply grateful to the Champlin Foundation for investing in the safety and wellbeing of the young people we serve.
