Our Walk With A Doc Windsor chapter is very grateful to be surrounded by incredible support from Windsor’s amazing local businesses. This month, Windsor Storage & Farms has generously donated gift cards for their pumpkin patch and Christmas tree farm for prize giveaways at our upcoming walk next Saturday, 10/17!
Windsor Storage & Farms has beautiful pumpkins, friendly farm animals, a sweet little gift shop in their barn, and great photo opportunities with friends and family. Check them out! You won’t be disappointed!

October has arrived, which means we are only a couple weeks away from another Walk With A Doc! We look forward to having Dr. Alana Ward, Dr. Katie Wrensch, and DPT Intern Alison Grob discuss Prevention and Treatment Strategies for Osteoporosis. Looking forward to seeing everybody soon and enjoying a beautiful, Autumn walk together! 🏃‍♀️🍁🙂

It was a perfect morning for the September Walk With A Doc! Thank you, Dr. Lorie Barker, OTD for sharing your expertise about improving grip strength and managing thumb osteoarthritis. Also, thank you to all of our walkers for attending! Our amazing community of volunteers, walkers, and supporting businesses is what makes these walks so special. We are very excited to have Dr. Lorie Barker, OTD, and Colorado State University’s Student Occupational Therapy Association present about Managing Thumb Osteoarthritis and Optimizing Grip Strength.

Another great walk and presentation this morning! Big thanks to Dr. Jane Brewer, owner of Precision Chiropractic, for leading today’s walk and teaching us the impact our upper neck has on our balance, mobility and alignment.
We also had the best time searching for painted rocks from High Desert Chocolates on the trail! Can’t wait to bring our rocks into the shop for the free treat reward!
Grateful to kick off the weekend prioritizing health, community, outdoors, movement, and treats! 🙂🍦🏃‍♀️

We have extra fun planned at our upcoming walk on Saturday, August 15th, with opportunities to win free treats at our local dessert and coffee shop High Desert Chocolates! High Desert Chocolates has been hiding painted rocks around town all summer long; as community members find these painted rocks, they bring them to the shop to receive a free treat. It's like an Easter egg hunt all year long! High Desert Chocolates has kindly decided to enhance our walking route next Saturday with a handful of these painted rocks. I have high hopes our Walk With A Doc community will find all of these rocks and be rewarded with delicious treats at HDC! 🙂

August has arrived and our next walk is only two weeks away on Saturday, August 15th! Local chiropractor and owner of Precision Chiropractic, Dr. Jane Brewer, DC, DCCJP, will be presenting, Stay Sharp, Stand Tall: How the Brain, Balance, and Neck Work Together. Can’t wait!
The Windsor Recreation Center building will be undergoing annual maintenance that week, so rather than meeting inside, we will meet at the covered patio that is attached to the conference room in which we usually meet. Outdoor entry to the patio is in front of the rec center, near the main entrance to the building. See you all soon!!🙂

Record turnout at this month’s walk! We enjoyed great discussion about osteoarthritis and strategies for improving our comfort and function, followed by a beautiful morning walk before the hot weather set in. A big thank you to all of our walkers for joining today! Also, thank you Colorado In Motion for providing the coffee, and thank you Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture for providing the space for us to meet!
