Early dismissal on Friday!!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of the first quarter.

This is a reminder that school will close 3-hours early for grade reporting and data analysis.

Please make sure your child is picked up by 1:00pm tomorrow.

All BCPS Schools to Close Today, October 29, 2021, Due to Emergency Weather Conditions

All Baltimore County Public Schools (including the Virtual Learning Program) will be closed today, Friday, October 29, 2021, due to severe weather conditions. Significant amounts of rainfall with the potential for dangerous flash flooding are expected throughout the day. Daycare programs in school buildings will be closed. Central and administrative offices will remain open, with the option for remote work or unscheduled leave for staff.

Good evening,

Trunk- or -Treat is this Thursday from 6 - 8p.m. at Northwest Hospital in parking lots K - L. If time permits in your schedule, we invite you to come participate in this great event.

Trunkers will decorate their vehicle and pass out candy. If you've returned the form to be a trunker, you will have access to the parking lot at 5:00 p.m. to set up. Individuals passing out candy will wear gloves. Candy has been donated so you aren't required to bring your own. There will be awards for decorated cars.

Good Evening Winfield Families,

Below are some updates regarding school safety and upcoming events.

Next week – October 18 through October 22 – is Kindness Week at Winfield Elementary. Each day we will celebrate a character trait and we will have a color of the day. If your student would like to wear the color of the day to represent the character trait, please do!
Monday – blue – civility.
Tuesday – green – empathy.
Wednesday – orange – unity.
Thursday – red – respect.
Friday – purple – positivity.

Arrival: The doors open at 9:05am each morning. Please be mindful that staff is not on duty and are not available to supervise student until that time. We have many students being dropped off without an adult before school and are unsupervised.

Dismissal/ Parent Pick-up: Each visitor must have a government issued photo ID. For the safety of the students will need to check IDs before releasing students. Any changes to dismissal must be sent to the teacher in writing upon the student’s morning arrival. Emergency changes must be called into the office and office staff will have to return your call from contact information in our system. If you have someone else picking up your child, please remind them to bring their ID.

Absences: Thank you keeping students home for COVID like symptoms. This helps keep our school community healthy! In order to document absences as “excused” please provide a doctor note or a Covid test result.
